I've worked several different jobs in a handful of different fields. Whether it is customer service, sales, marketing, or concert production and promotion, every job involves interacting with people and shaping their experience, while simultaneously working as a part of of a team and successfully executing your role. I truly love those aspects about the jobs I have had in the past, and look for them in future positions, as well as opportunities to learn and grow new skills.
TWMG was contracted by Arch Street Tavern to manage the booking, marketing, and management for the venue. In addition to handling the marketing and promotion for Arch Street Tavern, I also worked the shows at the venue as the Production Manager; which included hosting bands, carrying out hospitality needs, and even working the box office. This was a real "people person" type of job, which I love. I enjoy connecting with the bands and the concert goers, while helping create an experience for everyone involved.
During our three years at Arch Street Tavern, we increased the venue's attendance, sales, and profit by over 300% through our booking and marketing efforts.
During my time at Telefunken, I built and tested large diaphragm condenser vacuum tube microphones; specifically the AR-51, AR-70, and the CU-29. I was the sole builder of these specific microphones at the time for this world-class international company. Additionally, I assisted with the assembly line production for the dynamic microphone series, as well as executing package fulfillment and shipping. The key to getting all of these tasks done in a proper and timely manner was teamwork, communication, and developing fluid step-by-step systems that we could rely on. We created a family there, and many of my former colleagues are still close friends of mine to this day.
I always put Maple Row Farm on my resume because it is a place I truly love, and has taught me a lot about teamwork, endurance, and motivation. Since I began working there, I have done everything from selling Christmas trees in the winter, mowing the fields and pruning them in the summer, and delivering mulch in the spring. It is a physically taxing job but that is what I love about it (not delivering mulch, but that is a great time listen to a podcast and learn something new). The farm is about 300+ acres and in the winter season we can sell upwards of 200-300 trees in a day. Every last tree needs to be dragged out of a field, thrown on a tractor, baled, and tied to a car. Things can get hectic quick, but a having a good team that can communicate with one another and motivate each other keeps everything from falling off the rails. Over the last 10 years the returning "team" has developed into more of a family, and I look forward to working with them each winter season.
I have played in a handful of original bands, as well as cover acts, over the last 10 years. The music I've played spans classic and psychedelic rock, americana/folk, jam band music, soul, and funk/disco. In those bands I have taken the role of lead and rhythm guitar, with a focus on slide guitar, as well as singing lead and backup vocals.
