As a student at Bemidji State University, I have gained experience in many parts of environmental science. I have participated in labs for geology and environmental toxicology which has taught me about data collection and analysis, as well as logging data using sites like Excel or simply logging by hand. I have also had opportunities outside of the classroom to use different instruments and take samples from nearby lakes. These courses also ready me for working with peers and using different mindsets to come up with solutions. With this experience, I have learned to use proper procedures, tools, and thought processes that will help me exceed at this internship.
