Material Handler/lead

Frito-Lay
05.2016 - 09.2022
  • This job required me utilizing a forklift to load, unload and stage orders coming in and going out of the core warehouse
  • I also was tasked with staging loads for various Sam’s club stores making the unloading for the truck driver easier

  • I first started off as a LINE SUPPLY/FORKLIFT OPERATOR where it was my responsibility to make sure that each production line had the supplies needed to complete their production schedule for the day
  • I operated a heavy-duty forklift to unload crates of tomatoes and paste for the “red sauce lines”
  • I then transitioned to the job of CYCLE COUNTER where I worked directly the scheduler and the buyer to make sure that the inventory on hand was correct so that the scheduler could set up the production run for the upcoming week
  • It was very important to know the on-hands was correct because if anything was off it could impact the outcome of the production run for that week
  • The final position I held was that of INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST and I worked directly with the cost accountant where I investigated any discrepancies within the inventory
