Seasoned Supervisor with history of effectively managing teams and overseeing operations. Skilled in identifying areas for improvement, implementing new processes, and fostering staff development. Strengths include problem-solving abilities, strong leadership skills, and communication capabilities. Previous roles demonstrate significant positive impacts on workflow efficiency and team productivity.
I started working as a labor worker on the round table. From there I moved to a lift driver pulling from the chain and placing units under the shed. I also learned how to load trucks at this time. I moved to the maintenance department and became the lead person. I was then asked to move into supervision, where I am now. I’ve led my crew to several record-breaking nights and until 8/7/2025 never had anyone hurt. I’ve attended and passed all West Fraser supervisor classes/training. Including (roles and responsibility, Balmert managing safety performance, supervisory skills1, SS2, and more). I have been asked several times to take the superintendent role over the sawmill.
Being a leader for West Fraser has taught me how to communicate with others and be able to solve problems on the fly. I have over 8 years in maintenance and round 9 in supervision. I love working on things at home and in my neighborhood, like side by sides and motorcycles. I’m the father of 3 with the oldest being 21 and the youngest being 7. I believe that you must separate your work life from your home life. Family is the most important thing to me.
