Achievements:
Growing up I never had any interest or even worked on a car in anyway shape or form. After working around trucks for a few months and learning to drive a manual transmission, it really sparked my interest in automobiles and the mechanical concepts behind them. On April 3, 2023 I bought my first project car - a 1993 Mazda Miata. The car hardly ran, it was straight piped, welded differential, wouldn't go over 45 mph, and various other issues. I dumped some money into it trying to part slap it and fix it but eventually I decided to pull the engine since nothing seemed to work. Eventually I saved up enough and rebuilt the motor and got it running. As of now I have replaced the entire fuel system including the tank. Replaced the entire drive train with a new drift shaft, axles, and a factory limited slip differential. Upgraded several suspension parts including coilovers, polyurethane bushings, adjustable control arms. Cut and modified the chassis to have a roll bar and harness bar with racing harnesses and bucket seats. New brakes, wheels, and tires. And the most recent I converted it from manual steering to power steering. This car has taught me a very in depth understanding behind the basic principles behind automobiles and anything mechanical. I am looking to apply these skills to the work place and continue to expand my knowledge.
