Maintain clear communication by responding promptly to requests for
information from Executive Director, Board members and Staff
Assess cats daily for behavior needs & adoptability, consulting
with team as needed and supervising trained Core Volunteers for moves to condos/colonies as
needed to prevent stress.
Supervise Lead Colony Technician & volunteer cleaners to ensure daily
cleaning of condos, cages & colonies is completed, according to policy & procedures.
Administer medical care for cats, including veterinary liaison, vaccinations,
deworming, microchips, medical treatment, special diets, weights, transportation & medical
record keeping
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and order replacements [from
Operations Manager] in advance of running out
Intake scheduling: As Intake Committee member, meet weekly and consult with other
members as needed to review and recommend intakes
Upon intake, perform examination, create & organize digital/paper records,
including updating ShelterLuv database with cat data
• In-house surgeries: Organize, assist with and supervise Core Volunteers to assist with in-
house spay/neuter surgeries, completing medical paperwork as needed.
Medical Team: Coordinate with Medical Assistants to train and supervise Medical Team to
assist with medical issues, including Bedcheckers.
Weekly cat updates: Disseminate Friday update & map on cat assessment & placement to
Staff & Core Volunteers
Adoption Counseling: Backup for potential adopters & completion of adoptions as needed.
Reports: Submit monthly and annual reports as requested.
Committees: Attend committee meetings as needed.
•Maintain clear communication by responding promptly to requests for information

•Daily assessment: Assist with assessing shelter population daily for health, behavior and progression
from intake to colony, prevent long cage stays, healing illness and increasing adoptability & report to
Medical Manager if necessary
• Maintain good communication between Cat Care Manager, Executive Director, TNR
Coordinator and Foster homes.
•Perform in-home inspection for potential Foster families.
•Provide every new Foster with either in-person or digital orientation and provide
both printed & digital copies of Foster Handbooks as needed.
•Place cats and/or kittens in Foster homes according to need and Foster preference.
Schedule with Cat Care Manager or perform intakes in 1eld (including vaccinations
& deworming), updating digital and paper records as quickly as possible.
•Work with Cat Care Manager to schedule all vet visits.
•Schedule pickup by Foster families; distribute to Foster homes when necessary.
•ShelterLuv: Maintain complete and current records for Foster cats/kittens and Foster families, including
current medical information and complete contact information
•Counsel potential adopters, complete adoptions & supervise AC as needed.
•Work with Director, Cat Care Manager and Operation Manager to intake cats and
kittens from foster care to the Haven for adoption as quickly as possible.
•Maintain weekly check-ins with Fosters to assess medical/behavioral health of cats.
•Train Foster families on proper care and handling to ensure kittens are fully adoptable
by two months and cats are as adoptable as possible.
•Transport foster cats/kittens as needed to both Haven and Foster homes.
•Review foster equipment regularly to order replacement supplies from operations Manager in
advance of running out.
•Submit monthly and annual reports as requested.
