I have over six years of experience working in the telecommunications industry as a Field Service Technician with a major ISP in Alaska. Throughout my career, I have supported residential and business customers across multiple regions, including Anchorage, Kodiak, and the Mat-Su Valley. My role has required me to install, maintain, and troubleshoot internet, voice, and network services in a wide range of environments—from single-family homes to multi-unit buildings and commercial locations.
In this position, I developed strong technical troubleshooting skills, regularly diagnosing signal issues, resolving network performance problems, and ensuring reliable service delivery. I have hands-on experience working with customer premises equipment, analyzing signal levels, and collaborating with internal teams such as dispatch, provisioning, and outside plant to resolve more complex service issues.
Beyond the technical side, I have built a reputation for clear communication and professionalism when working with customers. I take pride in explaining technical issues in a way that is easy to understand, managing expectations, and ensuring a positive overall experience. I am also experienced in documenting detailed service notes and identifying patterns that may require long-term solutions or escalation.
My role has often required working in physically demanding and high-pressure conditions, including outdoor environments and time-sensitive service calls. While this has strengthened my work ethic and adaptability, I am now looking to transition into a more sustainable, less physically demanding position where I can focus on technical problem-solving, system support, and continued professional growth within the technology field.
