  • While working in this role, you have to be a team player. Our team right now consists of 8 members and we each manage our own accounts. However, we need to be familiar with each others accounts to cover each others absences. Our main task at hand is processing orders for Smith & Wesson's clients: Distributors, Buying groups, Law enforcement, and Strategic retail accounts with 100% accuracy. All through this past year our department did not meet our goal, we strived to do so with over 99.9% order accuracy. This was truly an accomplishment as the previous teams have came no where near this figure. Our department is also responsible for supporting our sales team, VIP clients, & allocation of all product manufactured.
  • Three of my most notable accomplishments are as followed:
  • I played a big part in developing a more user friendly / streamlined Employee firearm purchase program. My first task when brought onto the team was to clear the existing backlog, and identify any possible improvements to the process. The Employee Orders program is now functioning smoothly & our Employees are receiving their firearms in a timely manor.
  • I earned the role to report out daily figures to our company's directors, VP, CFO, CEO. This nightly report consists of the net value of orders we received, orders cancelled, product allocated & released to our shipping team for processing. We also track the customers who are currently on hold for various reasons. I would compile this data nightly, using various reports I would run on SAP.
  • Shortly after the backlog from our previous team was cleared, Smith & Wesson celebrated their record breaking month of sales, $100 million. Order management played a great role in this success, but the credit goes to each hard working employee, myself included.
  • My role at Smith and Wesson taught me a lot, and I work with some fantastic people. I do however look forward to my next endeavor.
