-Verify patient identification through two steps, explain our procedures, and the purpose of the draw.

-Obtain blood specimens by performing venipunctures, capillary sticks, finger sticks, and properly storing blood samples.

-Maintain patient safety by using proper antiseptic technique, following the department's procedure, and observing isolation procedures.

-Accessing patients' arms or hands to identify the most appropriate site and using a proper gauge needle.

-Organizing and maintaining blood draw supplies.

-Centrifuged blood specimens in test tubes and capillary tubes to separate cells and sediment from blood serum.

-Collaborate with laboratory personnel to resolve specimen issues.

-Maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the phlebotomy process.

-Label blood vials with critical information like time of collection, date and patient name.

Following all safety protocols when handling hazardous materials.

-Informing patient on proper aftercare of the site.

• My responsibilities as a cake decorator consist of designing specialty cakes for occasions such as weddings, anniversaries and birthdays
• Cake decorators also consult with customers for their orders, give suggestions based off of their theme and give the customer a kind and helpful experience
• The end goal is to determine exactly what the customer wants and using creativity with a variety of ingredients bring their ideas to life! Sanitation is also a key with the role
• We are asked to keep display cases cleaned, handle customers confidential information and keep the bakery clean and sanitary
• Time management is also a necessity
• For example, cake orders have to be ready to give to the customer at their pick up time
• We must be able to complete numerous orders every shift on top of balancing other responsibilities.
