I am highly motivated and eager to start a career in public service. After growing up around first responders and public safety, I am interested in obtaining employment as a communications officer to be a proactively and effectively serve first responders and the surrounding community.
As a communication officer, I understand the importance of being the first line of contact to potentially emergent situations. Therefore, serving as a communication officer presents an opportunity to help others as a calm voice of care and support. Additionally, the communication officer acts to communicate information quickly to first responders in order to ensure a timely response and ensure safety.
I view the role of communication officer to be an important and honorable career. I feel I possess appropriate written and verbal communicative skills necessary to be successful as a communications officer. I also am knowledgeable of computer operations and am able to correspond through quick and accurate use of the keyboard.
Overall, I am a hard worker and look forward to the opportunity to serve as a communication officer. I feel I can make a positive impact in the communications department and develop a trusting relationship with first responders and those whom are requesting emergent services.
