School Support Specialist/Campus Center Support

  • Create a positive and welcoming experience through the embodiment of excellent manners, professionalism, trust building activities, and the delivery of exceptional service.
  • Assisted in bringing school enrollment percentage up from 60% to 100%
  • Greet parents and children throughout the day, and offer assistance, be warm and friendly and approachable.
  • Must open door for parents and make sure school is looking clean and welcoming; organize, de-clutter, dust, take out trash, refill sanitizing solutions, sweep outside, remove fingerprints, sanitize all areas, prepared and maintained parent information packets.
  • Offer coffee or water to all guests.
  • Learn names of all children and families. Build relationships with them to create bonds resulting in a nurturing environment.
  • Answer all phone calls and emails from parents and visitors.
  • Organize paperwork and files.
  • Ensure files are up to date and in accordance to state laws.
  • Perform center tours, follow up on all enrollment inquiries.
  • Train on/learn several programs in order to process payroll and communicate with parents.
  • Perform audits of parent communication system (PLL) reports and follow up with teachers.

After two months, Stepping Stone School offered me a promotion from School Support Specialist to Center Support. In addition to the School Support Specialist duties, Center Support includes:

  • Conduct on site interviews of potential employees. Ask usual interview questions, a few specific to SSS, and observe them in classrooms.
  • Handle checks and money orders given by parents for tuition.

Hobbies

I enjoy video and audio editing as well as video production. A few of my previous professors have asked me to assist with some of their student's films. The last few months, I have been asked back to join in producing some of their "passion projects" outside of school.
