After graduating from high school with my CNA license, I have decided to seek a higher level of education at Tarleton State University, where I plan on majoring in nursing. While attending college, I plan on working as a CNA, where I would be able to better understand the ins and outs of what it takes to achieve a career in health care. While getting my CNA shows my competence in performing important skills in a nursing home, my work as a cashier and in hospitality at Taco Bell also allowed me to better work on my communication skills and professionalism. Working as a cashier put me at the forefront of the business, where I often have to deescalate situations between both coworkers and customers, helping me learn how to multitask, whether it be cashing someone out while also trying to resolve a problem, or trying to fix the POS system while taking orders.
