I am currently a lead hostess at Echo and Rig. As a lead I take on the responsibility of planning out where large parties will be seated for the night and to make sure the tables are prepared upon guest arrival. Throughout the night I also decide where every party is seated, which includes walk ins and reservations. While I have been primarily a lead host for a year I also have experience running tables, which includes asking the guests questions (such as if they have dined at the restaurant before, if they are celebrating anything and if they are locals/ visiting) which helps me make connections with each guest. Being a lead hostess I can handle high stress situations, manage multiple tasks while having a calm demeanor.

While working at Hardway 8 I was the only hostess so I took on many responsibilities on my own. I demonstrated multitasking skills by handling phone inquires while attending in-person guest needs simultaneously. Hardway 8 was located on Water Street where big events and parades were held, because of this the restaurant would be very busy with walk ins and it was my job to organize and maintain the flow of the restaurant. Working at Hardway 8 I took on other responsibilities such as bussing tables and taking orders for servers.
