  • Excels in both quality and production, currently on 97.1% with quality, considering 90.5% is this fiscal year’s excel threshold, and with a final of 95% in quality on last fiscal year, as 91.3% was the excel threshold. Currently, appointed to train and mentor for Quality Review Team’s (QRT) VIP Informal Assessment Period for incoming personnel to Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA). Reviewing their claims, assisting them in making corrections and giving them feedbacks while guiding them through the system and helping them understand the procedures, guidance, and policies in the M21 Adjudication Procedure Manual and 38 CFR code of federal regulations. Had mentored four successful classes with five new highly motivated personnel for predevelopment as a veteran service representative for last year’s fiscal year alone.
  • Currently serving as the In-team mentor, spending about 15 hours (more or less) each week assisting fellow Veteran Service Representatives (VSR) answering and solving complex technical questions and problems that requires extensive research in the M21 Adjudication Procedure Manual and 38 CFR code of federal regulations and other Policies. Have experience in preparing and conducting multiple in-formal training sessions such as system familiarity training for new personnel, and refresher trainings within the teams by utilizing word document and PowerPoint for handouts and slides.
  • Have written emails for the Congressional/White House inquiries in the interest of a veteran’s claim, explaining its current status with steps and procedures in completing the veteran’s claim while getting it processed properly and in a timely manner.
  • Expert in utilizing Letter Creator and VBMS Letters in composing correspondence letters in explaining status of the applications and requesting additional documentation. Maintains a high standard of professionalism in customer service when reaching someone by using softphone, Email, or Microsoft IM, while still following the policies and procedures in the manual.
  • Well trained in understanding, interpreting, and applying pertinent laws, regulations, and procedures from the M21-1 adjudication procedure manual, 38 CFR code of federal regulations and additional policies written as a VA memorandum directly from the Office of Field Operations (OFO), and Quality Review Team (QRT), mostly received via email. Capable in utilizing various software applications including Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS), which is used every day in conducting initial developments, reviewing applications, updating system with any changes in the veteran’s personal and other pertinent information. Exceptionally good in navigating and gathering medical records in Compensation and Pension Record Interchange (CAPRI) and Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV). Also, uses Beneficiary Inquiry Records Locator System (BIRLS) for checking and updating the claimant’s information and history. BIRLS also has access to Compensation and Pension (C&P) Master Records, Pending Issue File (PIF), Payment History File (PHF), Corporate database, and Social Security Administration. Also, well experienced in ordering records from the Department of Defense (DOD)/Military Training Facility (MTF) by using Defense Personnel Records Information Retrieval System (DPRIS), where the U.S. Armed Forces maintain an Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for every veteran and Service member and knows how to order Private Medical Records from private facilities, clinics, and hospitals.
  • Experienced in composing and requesting Compensation examinations and/or medical opinions for claimed conditions, a critical piece of evidence for raters in determining the extent of disability, thus needs to be ordered when it has been determined warranted after a complete review of all the relevant evidence. Utilizing the Examination Request Routing Assistant (ERRA) for recommendations in where to order a specific exam based on the claimant’s home address, pending contentions, and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) C&P clinic’s capacity per examination type. Adapted for ordering exams from using Centralized Administrative Accounting Transaction System (CAATS) 2 years ago to ordering exams using the new update in VBMS Exam Scheduling Request (ESR), routing exams to VA’s contractors, from General Medical Examinations, Specialty examinations, Increase exams, Secondary opinions, clarifications, and more. Confident as much as using ESR in utilizing the Compensation and Pension Record Interchange (CAPRI) for exams and/or opinions to the Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC).

Then, must collect and examine back the menu and sheets to ensure that everything has been filled out correctly and ready to be filed.
  • Provided a complete audit trails of cash payment book (DD Form 1544) in accordance to DA Pam 30-22 (Operating Procedures for the Army Food Program) to record the signature and the amount of cash collected (discounted or standard meal rate) from individual(s) who are required to reimburse the Government for meals consumed. Always had to make sure that this form is signed by all personnel who do not possess a valid meal card or other document authorizing them to eat without paying cash so we can turning-in all paperwork to the Food Service Officer (FSO). Had to ensure that all cash payment books (DD Forms 1544) and cash will be accounted for and properly safeguarded in a safe with a steel lock bars at all times
