While working at Dicks Sporting Goods I have worked in every department of the store, but most of the times I work in the Golf or Team Sports Sections
I am often forced to help customers find what they are looking for, and also help them find things they did not know they needed. It is my job to make sure they leave the store with what they wanted and a smile on their face
As the main golf associate I must be knowledgeable about the new and upcoming product in order to best help customers with they current and future needs. I am forced to test new product to properly sell the items
When I work in the team sports section of the store I know practically everything needed to be known about all the other sports equipment that is carried in the store. This allows me to fit every customer with what they need in a timely and efficient matter
Overall while working at Dicks I have help increase sales revenue by building strong connections with customers and recommending appropriate products based on their individual needs.

As an associate at Ollesheimer and Sons Fort Wayne Branch I was the main warehouse associate while the others drove semi-trucks
I operated a forklift for 8 plus hours a day, moving items such as sheet metal and shingles
I would get orders from contractors and find what they needed in the warehouse and pack their order up in a timely manor
In the case that an order was not packed with the correct items, I would find what was missing or wrong, pack it, and drive it to them in order for them to continue to work and not have one of my mistakes slow them down
While working at Ollesheimer and Sons, I was able to pick up a very strong work ethic along with time management skills as every day I had to come in and plan out the day correctly so I can get everything done for that day and maybe even work towards the next days projects

As an associate at Mikes Car wash I would often rotate from the actual washing of cars, to the selling of washes to customers
While working at Mikes Car Wash I would often handle cash and other forms of payments concurrently for hours on end, while making no mistakes as if we did we would be penalized
I would often be told to freestyle and do what I can to upsell customers on the better and more expensive washes so the company could make more money
I would then also attempt to persuade customers to purchase other services that we were told to recommend to them.
When I first started at Mikes Car Wash, I was told that I was not in the car wash business, yet the people business, and that could not of been more true. In reality it is not about selling car washes, yet making connections and leaving a positive impact on the customer as they leave.
