Throughout high school, I was very involved in the community. I joined the National Honors Society in 10th grade, and volunteered at blood drives and baked sales through the school. I joined the Peer Assistant Leader Program in 12th grade, where I made presentations and spread awareness about underage drinking, the consequences of drug abuse, suicide, and bullying. I believe being apart of the National Honors Society and Peer Assistant Leaders helped me become a well rounded student, and made me focus on school rather than other things. I like to think that me becoming Salutatorian of my class, was due to my activeness in the school and community, as well as my dedication to academics. Throughout high school, I earned around 28 college credits through dual enrollment, which helped me get an early start to college. I am thankful for my high school experience as it helped me prepare for life after high school.
