I worked for United Parcel for 31 years and retired in 2016. While I worked for UPS I was elected as a Shop Steward of 1000 employees. I was offered a position by D.R.I.V.E. which is the lobby group for The Teamsters International which is the acronym for Democratic Republican Voter Information. The IBT allowed me to structure teams and plan meetings with other Teamsters to persuade them to vote for their chosen candidate, I also manned phone banks and canvased door to door "off hours" when I wasn't being paid by the IBT for the AFL/CIO. It was one the most rewarding experiences I've had.
I have had my Real Estate Brokers License for many years and still sell homes and work with clients. I have been in the top 15% of agents in the Capital District for the past 5 years. The market is changing and as I search for a position I am looking for something in a field I find rewarding.
