I supervise 12 or more employees and ensure that the Supervisor’s instructions are followed through with daily and weekly. I ensure that my employees have the parts and tools they need to meet production goals. I also encourage all my employees to watch out for each other and ensure that the work they are performing is safe and if not I instruct them how to do it safely. I am licensed to operate most any vehicle on Red River Army Depot. I also have access to LMP and I can accurately input time and evaluate man hours based on past data. I have also started working in the Complex Assembly Manufacturing Solutions or CAMS system where we charge working hours directly to the PO. I also extract time from CAMS and enter it into LMP. I establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules and methods and policies established by higher levels of supervision. I can determine how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones must be delayed, and the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel materials, and equipment available and required.

I review work in progress or on completion. I investigate work related problems (e.g., low productivity) to identify causes and implement those corrective actions that can be taken within the limits of incumbent’s authority. I adjust plans, assignments, and methods as necessary to accomplish work as effectively and economically as feasible. I determine equipment, supplies and maintenance required. I also assure that material is ordered and delivered to work sites so as not to delay work and coordinate work of unit with other units that may be involved.
  • I ensure that subordinates are adequately informed of their responsibilities concerning hazardous material waste with the work area. I ensure that personnel are properly trained in and observe follow all aspects of hazardous material waste management including, but not limited to, current regulatory guidance, labeling identification procedures, handling procedures to include storage and transportation, spill and accident notification, and response procedures.
