Hi, I’m

Katherine Weintritt

Palm Coast,FL
Katherine Weintritt

Summary

I'm a retired nurse who changed careers for an opportunity to work in the cannabis industry, and I am loving it. I am currently working at Surterra Wellness in Palm Coast as a Guide that does both mobile, and in-store dispensations. I am detail oriented and passionate about helping people. A career in the medical cannabis industry has allowed me to help people by using my medical knowledge and customer service experience to provide a pleasant experience for the customer. I am a strong advocate for medical marijuana and I have a gift of helping someone in distress. I not only have nursing experience but personal experience in this field as far as knowledge of various cannabis strains and their effects on the consumer. I also have management experience as an Assistant Nursing Director of a NICU for a year during my career, and enjoyed it. I was a director for 150 nurses and I organized and led in-services, staff meetings, worked on scheduling and performance evaluations. I believe that the management experience and fast paced work of nursing has built a foundation that I can apply to a management role in the medical marijuana industry. While I have minimal retail experience, I’ve increased my speed and confidence, and I’m ready to learn more. I’m a fast learner, and I absorb information well, especially when it’s hands-on learning.

Authorized to work in the US for any employer.

The Daisy Award

January 2019

About this award: The DAISY Foundation was formed in January, 2000, by the family of J. Patrick

Barnes who died at age 33 of complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). DAISY is

an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. When their son Patrick was ill, the Barnes

family was in awe by the skill, care, and compassion of his nurses. They created The DAISY Award For

Extraordinary Nurses in 2001 to say thank you to nurses around the country, because they believed

nurses are truly "unsung heroes." They felt nurses are deserving of our society's profound respect and

recognition for the education, training, brainpower, and skill they put into their work, not to mention

the caring with which they deliver their care.
