I take low priority reports in order to ease the load on St. Cloud Officers. I take reports such as thefts from vehicles, various frauds, property damages, hit and runs without suspects, suspicious activity, and vandalism. I answer phone calls or route calls to other departments and officers. I maintain the Predatory Offender Registry by uploading Changes of Information or Homeless Check ins. I prepare and redact data requests to be released to other agencies and public requesters.
I did ride alongs with various deputies, joining them as they responded to calls. I attended SWAT and Dive Team trainings.
I responded to calls for service across campus and wrote reports. I supervised and trained officers. On a shift I would be in charge of 2-3 officers and a dispatcher. During special events it would be around 6 officers.
I worked at the ice rink and handed out ice skate rentals. I later added Zamboni Driver as another job. I resurfaced the ice and maintained the Zamboni. As a Zamboni Driver I was also tasked with cleaning the locker rooms and emptying trash can's around the ice rink.
My coworker and supervisor Mr. Churney would drive me to different locations around the outer Rochester area and would have me go in to various tobacco selling stores and attempt to buy a product without an ID.
