  • Returned to the Licensed Pharmacy Technician role in November. Needed very little prior training for the position, using previous experience along with present hands-on experience, guidance from peers, and dozens of online lessons to serve patients effectively.
  • Tested for each promotion and successfully reached the Level I, Level II, and Level III pharmacy technician positions, passing each initial test required with an eighty percent or higher, during previous employment. Now currently licensed by the state of Indiana and capable of doing a variety of tasks as needed for the pharmacist on duty.
  • Responsibilities for a pharmacy technician include receiving prescriptions through fax or electronically, doing the necessary data entry for prescriptions, applying the correct insurance or discount card for each prescription, addressing any issues with the written prescription with the physician or the insurance, physically filling the prescription by counting out the proper quantity for the proper dosage, working cooperatively with a pharmacist to repetitively approve a prescription to ensure there are no mistakes, labeling and organizing prescriptions for efficiency, making and receiving phone calls from physicians and insurance companies, openly communicating with patients to ensure what's best for the customer's convenience while prioritizing their health, working in an assembly line efficiently with other coworkers, creating patient profiles, promoting and readying vaccines for patients, keeping supplies stocked, ordering supplies, receiving supplies, doing inventory, ensuring medication is in the best condition and not expired before selling it to the patient, ensuring the quantity and security of controlled substances, helping the pharmacist both write and fill compounded prescriptions, working both face to face and through the drive-through with patients to fill and deliver prescriptions, answering questions and providing information for patients, processing clinical information, processing post-fill audits, and ensuring a clean environment for filling prescriptions and patient's health and safety.

  • Started in October with no prior experience. Went through an intensive training, learning the necessary skills through hands-on experience, guidance from peers, dozens of online lessons, and rigorous management-led testing.
  • Worked part-time for roughly six months before being promoted to full-time thanks to no negative and consistent good and great feedback from customers, as well as other impressive performance statistics.
  • Responsibilities for a Visual Interpreter include being adept with technology, using a technically advanced dashboard with frequent updates, working hands on with Office 360, Adobe, Windows, Mac, video and audio editing, etc., communicating effectively with my manager and coworkers through an integrative messaging application, preparing and sending professional emails, and working hands on with our customers (Explorers). The job demands the ability to adapt and work effectively while remaining kind and approachable with every Explorer for their unique needs. Some tasks include reading material, identifying medication, describing seminars, electronically navigating any website or program, proofreading, assembling, working with Amazon warehouse workers, planning public transit, navigating busy sidewalks and streets, attending conventions virtually, assisting with pet care, learning new instruments, and so much more. The profession requires being ready for anything and the ability to be productive in any and all new tasks assigned by our customers.

  • Took initiative during a period of time where the pharmacy was extremely understaffed, covering shifts and acting as the only active technician during a shift multiple times. Worked with several different pharmacists during this time and was able to adapt to work effectively with each one while there was no lead pharmacist present.
  • Was considered for a promotion to Lead Pharmacy Technician multiple times but was unable to take the position due to scheduling conflicts.
