- My job that is required, as a certified technician, is quite similar to my trainee experience, with a few key differences that are listed below (just to name a few).

- Entering a new setting as a certified technician was intimidating, to say the least. However, the supporting staff, in-depth training, and diversity in the workflow allowed me to fully comprehend the functionality of a hospital pharmacy.
- The fundamentals of Texas Children's retail pharmacy are akin to those of any other retail pharmacy. However, there are many key differences that set Texas Children's apart from regular retail pharmacies.
- Working alongside colleagues to accurately prepare medications for a younger demographic.
- Prepared medications accurately for pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- "Meds2Beds": An area of our pharmacy that focuses on delivering medications to the patients' bedside. Collecting payment and documenting times of deliveries were also implemented in this role.
- Same-day surgery (SDS): Preparation of IV batches for dialysis and SDS patients.
- Assisted pharmacists in compounding sterile products according to state regulations.
- Unfortunately, the company suffered from a multitude of layoffs between August 2024 and April 2025. My position was one of the less fortunate during this period of the company.
