Volunteering, Gardening, Thrifting

I volunteer with 4 organizations currently; while always looking to expand my network to provide the most lift to my surrounding communities. My volunteering journey started at a young age, through school programs and clubs intending to expose youth to their community needs. In my professional journey, my volunteer spirit was revived through a partnership with BESA, based in Columbus, and has expanded into The Columbus Diaper Coalition, OTE Art Walk, and Franklinton Farms. Volunteering brings me enormous joy simply because of the positive impact on the community and the people who rely on local support. I have volunteered collectively now for 13 years, partaking in a variety of events across the 4 organizations.

I have recently ventured into Gardening as a hobby. I am drawn to the serenity it provides my mind and the connection to nature that gives me energy to perform at my best. I hope to one day start a homestead where I can provide for not only myself, but for the entirety of my community.

Thrifting, there is nothing like turning another's trash into a personal treasure - and that is exactly what I love to do. Waste is painful to me, so reducing such at all opportunities is something I strive to do.
