Left a job that I loved to come and work here. Was swayed by a team of Father/Son Surgeons to come and work with them. That did not sit well with their team. I ended up in the Adult Medicine Department. The job entailed checking patients into and out of their appointments. Making follow up ones if needed, directing them to the and X-ray.

Co worker from Braintree Rehab informed me of a position open on the surgical floor of Milton Hospital for a Unit Coordinator. The current Secretary left abruptly. I applied and got the position immediately. When I toured the Unit with the Charge Nurse, I asked her one question. Am I allowed to make changes? Her answer was please!!!!!!
My duties were to transcribe all MD orders and send to appropriate departments Lab, Xray, etc. update cardex daily and Med sheets every 2 weeks. Order new supplies for the department. Answer phones and cover other units as needed.
