  • As a Medical Assistant, I did intake for patients by collecting pertinent information and vitals, assisted with procedures, and contacted patients with lab results. During this time, I joined the HIV Team at CHAS, performed complex venipuncture, and learned everything I could about HIV and how to support our patients.
  • In October of 2013, I was promoted to Medical Support Supervisor, where I took over supervision of all of our medical assistants. I took care of all hiring, growth, discipline, and termination of our medical assistants. I also completed the annual review, timecards, ordering, and reporting for the clinic.
  • In October of 2014, I was promoted to Operations Support Supervisor. This position trained me to be a clinic administrator. I learned about budgeting, de-escalation of angry patients or staff, as well as the importance of team building and trust in leadership.
