This is an upscale restaurant specialized in course based service. It’s a fast paced environment that relies on experience, confidence, and capability—as well as having the capacity to take excellent care of tables even while busy. When working here it has allowed me to become well versed in wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails. This is a restaurant heavily based on teamwork from both the back of house and front of house, allowing me to work very well with others in a busy environment. Our restaurant very big on service which has made me very good at working with customers and come up with solutions, even when they are upset.

This is a ski resort bar/resturant. It’s an extremely fast paced restaurant, heavily involved with alcohol sales—not so much food. Working here has gave me the confidence to be able to take multiple tables and work well under pressure. The job is straight forward and I don’t work with many people. This job has definitely given me the ability to deal with very unruly people, as well as intoxicated people—which I think is a very important quality working in the service industry.
