I have waitressed my entire life. This career has allowed me the flexibility and convenience to be present with my children as they participate in activities that I did not experience growing up. Also, it taught me how deal with a wide range of people in an professional and empathetic manner. I decided at a point in time that I wanted to take a chance at nursing. With the support of my husband and family, I did eventually make it to clinicals. After failing short my first attempt, I tested back where I left off 3 years later. I gave it my all, but unfortunately I fell below the mark once more.
