Managed team of employees, overseeing hiring, training and professional growth of employees and the programs they worked on.
  • On the leadership team of YWCA NH and had been voted into a ‘member at Large’ position on the Manchester Continuum of Care's Leadership committee.
  • In charge of any housing trainings that needed to take place.
  • Was trained in AllState Financial Empowerment curriculum to use with clients, as well as Train the Trainer to train other staff to be able to utilize Allstates curriculum.

Housing First Advocate & Shelter Oversight REACH

  • I administered our Housing First program, worked with AVAPs at YWCA to provide budgeting and other financial empowerment
  • I also oversaw the emergency shelter, Emily's Place and worked closely with the COO to oversee the operations portion of Emily's Place. Includes being in charge of ordering food from NH Food Bank and making sure that the food pantry, and supplies closet were well stocked with donations for clients. Also was liaison to SNHU for the Annual Angel Tree donations around Christmas time for shelter survivors and their children.

Housing First Advocate CRISIS SERVICES

  • When I came into the organization, the Housing First program was an entirely new grant and program for all the crisis centers in NH I was responsible for developing information from the NH Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (NHCADSV) about the Housing First grant, into the Housing First program
  • I developed and built out the housing programs at the organization to what they are currently Emily's Place Emergency Shelter, Housing First, Transitional Housing, (and soon to be) Rapid Re-Housing (which is a big grant that I brought to YWCA NH through my work with Manchester's Continuum of Care...I first brought the grant to my supervisor in 2019, they applied 3 times and finally were able to secure it this last time around)
  • While I was solely in charge of Housing First, I also worked in direct service Providing advocacy for survivors by assisting with resources, taking phone calls and walk-ins, responding out to courts, child advocacy centers, and hospitals in our catchment area when survivors needed resources, someone confidential to speak with, or to let them know what rights and options they have regarding the domestic or sexual violence they suffered
  • The entire time I worked for the organization: I was on the crisis line and covered on-call shifts, also had time on the crisis line as the supervisor on duty
  • I was confidential—took mandatory 30 hours of training to gain confidentiality, under NH RSA 173: c
  • I gained a lot of experience working for a non-profit
  • Working with many other community agencies during my time there
  • I was part of fundraising initiatives, phone banking, policy outreach, and outreach & education at community events and schools
  • I spent time in my first two years working additional part-time hours in data entry, helping to get client data into our secured system for grant reporting
  • I also participated in 20 hrs./year of additional trainings E.g., grant specific trainings; serving survivors who are chronically homeless, BIPOC, or of the LGBTQ communities; trainings on providing trauma-informed services; and trainings on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
