Despite the uncertainty of the pandemic and the risk of being exposed to COVID-19, I was able to face the challenge managing stress related work environment making decision base on multifactorial medical and ethical evidence, with daily care for over thirty Patients affected by the pandemic that were placed in Mechanical Ventilation on the ICU. I was able to handle stress, efficiency and be able to complete task, and take lead on calling family members with updates, Improving quality of care and able to show the results in a QI project for future references.

-Elected Research leader for the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018 on a multi-center study with Ohio University, looking into the characteristics of communication between doctors and parents in the NICU.

Research Project:
Feasibility and acceptability of text messaging as a supplementary channel of communication between parents and NICU staff.
