Managing RR Cranberry

• Property was newly acquired when I started. I cleaned up the property including old waste, multiple buildings demoed, rebuilt most of the equipment, reconfigured marsh flooding design. Streamlined operations to make marsh efficient for a one man operation. This enabled me to assist the main marsh of Cranberry Creek, whenever, wherever they needed me.

• Heavy equipment operator, 30-100k excavators building new beds, digging reservoirs, land clearing, brush burning. 10-40ton off road haul trucks, Semi, Dump Trucks tandem and quad axle with split shift, Dozer JD 750, D6

• Employee training and mentoring. Helped develop new employees in a fast pace, large scale farm operations.

Managed Marsh Operations

• Daily tasks for seasonal employees

• Water management. Frost protection and management in fall to generate maximum Tacy and Brix. Deciding irrigation frequency while utilizing and maintaining Hortau system. Flooding harvest, protection and winter. Developing new strategies for irrigation and flooding to increase root development and produce quality ice in a very challenging and water restricted environment.

• Writing monthly status reports and guiding weekly safety meetings.

• Operating within a financial budget. Streamlining operations and equipment to make the marsh more profitable, safe and user friendly.

• Hiring, training, evaluation and filing paperwork of new employees.

• Maintenance and fabrication of marsh equipment. Including building a new fertilizer boom undercarriage, redesigning berry pump to include swing arm and pump configuration reducing load time to 25min per semi, from 45min. Reconfigured and rebuilt harvest harrow.

• Sanding, deciding frequency, depth to maximize root growth with minimal crop impact.

Managed all marsh operations. Including, fertilizer decision, product, timing and application. Pesticides and application. Water management irrigation and flooding. Helped expand the marsh acreage. Was responsible for all equipment maintenance and fabrication.
