Maripaz Salazar

I am a 4.0 student. I was the president of Singing club freshmen year and president of the Book Club (sophomore year and future). I am the sophomore representative of the environmental club, financial officer of the DECA club, treasurer of Debate and Wellness club, and member of culture club and the Lunch Buddies program. I am a team leader in the ECYD Challenge Club and a flute player in the band program. I am part of the Hispanic Honors Society and received the Bronze GPA award my freshmen year (3rd highest GPA of my class). I am also a host at the breakfast chain Reveille Cafe. I went christmas carolling with my singing club and collected over 30 cans for my local parishes food drive. I also held a school wide book drive benefitting the local charity Sheltering Books, which distributed over books across the country in different Homeless, domestic, and rehabilitation centers.

I won the Bronze GPA award my freshmen year. I had a GPA of 4.128 my freshmen year and 4.2 my first semester of my sophmore year.

I enrolled in rigorous classes and studied very hard to receive the Bronze GPA award my freshman year. It was a great honor and it was because of my strong work ethic.
