It is a simple idea I was taught as a child from my Grandfather who escaped Nazi Germany during WWII, "your word is your bond." This idea sounds a bit cliche but when the idea is truly adopted, it does not live in a vacuum inside ones head, in the home or place of employment. It is something that permeates in all aspects of ones life INCLUDING the home and place of employment. I have adopted this approach to all parts of my life, including business, which over the years allowed me to understand what it takes to truly run an operation and thrive. The bond you give to the people around you may be the most important bond you ever extend. How you treat them and how you lead them will ultimately determine the success of any operation big or small. Using the "word as your bond" mentality builds the trust necessary for a leader to have people follow. And in order to be a great leader you need to have folks willing to follow. I could write about accolades and other fluff people want to pepper through their resumes. However I feel, my word as my bond in all that I do speaks to whom I am as a person and a leader. The only way to see it in action is to have the pleasure of working together:-)
-Launched Denver Pizza Brand on July 4th, 2009 and built it from the ground up. Grew sales to over 2.3million and 3 location as of 2022.
-Had integral roll in start up and growth phase of the business when operational systems were being implemented. From the recipe to the operational procedures I was involved in all facets of operation for first 3 years of the business.
-I always joke with folks, that if you can run a restaurant you can probably run anything:-)
-Its a huge challenge but also worth the reward when you see the smiling faces of satisfied customers.
We live in colorado and it needs little explaining anything outside brings joy to my heart.
