Maya Mercado

I like to believe that I've been an insightful manager. I've grown through experience directing and improving productivity and atmosphere through motivating coworkers, but also making sure that our tasks are done. Talented leader that thinks through planning and day-to-day problem-solving.

Through school, I also took pride in the work that I did. For the final two years of my high school career, I enjoyed the task of being a music librarian. My work included filing music on shelves and into our complex online library, helping students find solos, duets, etc., that suited their needs, and helping the teacher with tasks here and there.

I also participated as a Peer Mentor at the 2022 Summer Leadership Program at Mount Mary. I was able to work with a diverse group of women and help them through their week at MMU. I lead small group activities by taking into account how everyone was feeling whether it was nerves, tiredness, or excitement. Hopefully, I helped them learn more about Mount Mary and why the should consider applying, but more than anything, I hope that they learned valuable leadership skills for the future.
