I've been working in food/retail for most of my professional life and I am in need of a change. I can't be driven by sales and numbers anymore I need to do something that will feed my soul and before working full time and being "too busy" that was working with children. In my search for a new job I am looking to pursue something in the realm of childcare
I had the opportunity to work all over publix. I spent at least 6 months in each department learning different aspects of the business and spent the most time in customer service
Worked with kids from age 0-14 in a wide range of scenarios with my church such as the nursery, childcare, vacation bible school (both leading a group of children as a guide and as a leader of a "center"), summer camps, and more
Sally house is a large scale group home that could house up to 30 kids at a time. There was a wing of up to 10 boys age 5-12, same for girls and up to 10 little ones aged 0-4. I was able to spend time in each of the wings and strengthen my skills communicating with very complex children that are dealing with lots of big emotions and learning how to grow as a childcare provider.
