investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy claims for assigned cases

obtain prior authorizations; initiate requests, track progress and expedite responses from insurance carriers and maintain contact with customers to keep them continuously informed

review for accuracy of prescribed treatment regimen prior to submission of authorization

assisted other teams when needed to maintain workflow and to meet business needs

• Filling prescriptions, -Deliver patient medications/Stat Meds to hospital floors/OR areas, -Inventory & restock medication shipment, -Compound medications, -assist pharmacist with phone calls, -trained new employees to the policies, processes and procedures of the pharmacy, -TIC trained (able to help assist pharmacist and verify medications that are to be filled in Pyxis machines)

• Receive written or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate, -answer telephones responding to questions or requests, -fill bottles with medication and type affix labels, - ability to process insurance claims, -ability to stock medication when shipment arrives, -ability to handle cash register, -ability to provide excellent customer service, -ability to work as a team member
