  • Receives general supervision from the Section/Course Chief who: (1) issues general instructions verbally and in writing consistent with established policies and procedures; (2) provides preliminary guidance on review of plans before action is taken on unusually difficult, novel, or controversial matters, or on questions of program objectives and policies; and (3) monitors classroom presentations and management to insure consistency with training objectives and effectiveness, instructional methods and techniques, and in terms of student performance and student failure rates.
  • MAJOR DUTIES: Serves as a Training Specialist at the U.S Army Cyber School, Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) for teaching the knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary for various Cyberspace Operations CF 17 Cyber Branch courses and providing technical and administrative support to all Career Field (CF) 17 Series training for Enlisted, Warrant Officer, and Officer initial training and associated Professional Military Education (PME) training.
  • 1. Develops, implements, and monitors utilization of instructional resources. Maintains training enrollment and completion records. Collects and analyzes training data and reports and provides the statistical results to the Chief, Training Division, senior leadership, and managers. Reviews and analyzes training data to provide an overall status of the training development workload and training mission and identifies future issues that might impact the ability to meet the mission. Schedules and makes arrangements for Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) and private vendors to conduct on-site training for programmed and un-programmed requirements, including availability of TDY funds, computer time, terminal use, classroom arrangements, security clearances of students and instructors, and administrative support for visiting instructors. Maintains training plans and schedules for all required training. Makes monthly survey of Cyber School and other user personnel to ascertain number of students to be trained and type of training needed. Prepares enrollment forms for courses and forwards them to required agencies. Develops annual course schedules, class frequencies and locations that best support training requirements of students. Coordinates for course classrooms and required training resources. Ensures support matches academic and class size requirements. Conduct analysis of training results and make recommendations for changes to the curriculum and POI as necessary. Reviews them for accuracy and appropriateness of material coverage and student understanding of the material. Observe student classroom activities and participation. Maintain attendance information on training portal site as well as organizational database.   • 2. Manages individual training requirements and resources of IAW all applicable regulations to include: USACCOE Regulation 350-5; TRADOC Regulations 350-1; and 350-6. Serve as the role of Cyber School Training Administrator to oversee all training administration and management functions. Participate in training and leader development meetings and conferences. Ensure all directorates maintain and update employee training records and individual training plans. Analyze Cadre IDP requirements IAW with Army Career Tracker (ACT) for input and completion of the TACITS survey. Compile requirements, coordinate and represent the US Army Cyber School requirements to the CCOE for the Structure and Manning Decision Review (SMDR); action officer for Training Resource Arbitration Panel (TRAP) actions; manage the Cyber School requirements in the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) program and DTMS training. Conducts classroom observations of Instructors presenting established POI material and lesson plans; discussed observations with the instructor(s) advising them on their strengths and weakness while providing feedback on ways to improve. Maintained Instructor Certification of training tracker spreadsheet and packet submissions.
  • 3. Serves as liaison with Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) on instructional inspections. Ensures all instructional activities are in accordance with QAO policy. Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Responsible for local contract oversight of all maintenance and operations contracts in footprint. As such, may be designated Technical Oversight Representative (TOR), Site Contracting Officers Representative (SCOR); Technical Assistant (TA) or other title as required.
