Began working in the metals recycling sector in 1978 . Worked in all areas of metal recycling operations including Ferrous , Non Ferrous , Demolition , Rail car and locomotive dismantling . Worked through numerous areas of management as a Management Trainee including , Non Ferrous Supervisor , Plant Superintendent and culminating in my position of General Manager Terminal Operations . In this role I was responsible for all operations in the handling and loading on ships and barges up to one million tons of recycled metal as well as Stevedoring up to another two million tons of other products annually .
