Hello my name is Molly Grass, I am 23 years old and I am originally from Rockland MA. I just recently graduated from Fitchburg State University with a bachelors degree in psychology science, however I did take multiple business and communication courses. At Fitchburg State I was also a student athlete where I played softball during the five years I was enrolled. Two of those years I was the team captain where I help organize team fundraisers, activities, and helped lead and motivate our team towards many victories.
I have been told by many of my managers and coworkers that I always demonstrate dedication and a strong work ethic, and give a great example of an employee who always remembers the values of hard work and efficiency. I am always willing to lend a helping hand to any of coworkers and am very adaptable to any workplace environment.
It has never been hard for me to collaborate with my coworkers and I try my best to always offer support and solutions to problems when needed. I go about each day with a positive attitude and always strive to be the best version of myself each day. Overall, I am driven to contribute effectively, enhance productivity, and show a positive atmosphere within the workplace.
My current job is working as a Customer Service Associate at the Home Depot. At this job my primary responsibilities is to...
I am a very efficient worker here and have gained much respect from my coworkers and managers due to my team player and leadership attitudes and behaviors. I have developed great customer service skills and have had many times where I have turned a frustrated customer into a very thankful one. Our main values for customer satisfaction at Home Depot is to greet the customer, engage with them, and thank them for shopping with us which is always a value I uphold. I have also won many employee survey competitions which was if you got the most positive customer surveys within a week you win a prize. There was one month were I had won each week. I also uphold the companies safety standards and make sure my coworkers do as well to ensure safety within the workplace.
While working at Friendly's Restaurant I started off as their night time hostess / busser. During this time I would greet customers, help them to their seats, and clean up their tables after they left. While greeting it was my responsibility to make sure certain sections were not getting over or under sat and that none of the waiters / waitresses were overwhelmed while tables.
After getting a few months of experience as a hostess / busser, I moved to be the closing dishwasher for the company. During this period of my employment it was my responsibility to efficiently clean and dry our dishes and send them back out to the ice cream counter and grill counter as quickly as possible, especially during the dinner rush. During our closing period I had to make sure all of the dishes were cleaned and out away, all the trash in the building was taken out to the dumpster, all the floors were swept and moped, and all the counters were wiped down and sanitized.
Five months into my employment they moved me to the ice cream counter which became my primary role at Friendly's. Here I was mainly their closer but I occasionally opened and worked the afternoon shift as well as working many doubles where I would open and then come back later the same day to close. My role as the closing ice cream scooper was to...
Closing responsibilities
If I got all of my closing duties completed early then I always ask around to the grill cooks, waiters and waitresses, dishwasher, and managers if there was anything I could help them with. Many times I would help the dishwashers put away all of the dishes as well as sweep or vacuum others stations if needed.
I also periodically had a handful of morning waitressing shift when we were understaffed with waiters and waitresses. I was very flexible with what I was doing each day.
Working for the Dirt Dawgs sports I helped instruct roughly four to five baseball or softball clinics each month for group ranging from 10U (ages 7-10) 12U (ages 10-13) 14U(ages 13-15) and 16U (ages 15-17)
I used to play club softball with this facility and due to my leadership skills within my own softball team they figured I would be a great fit to help out and even instruct some baseball and softball clinics. Within these clinics would teach the younger groups how to throw, field, and hit efficiently and for the older groups I went through more throwing, fielding, and hitting fundamentals. I always made sure each girl understood any instructions given and that they were excelling within each clinic. Some young children that I began working with struggled quite a bit with hitting or throwing but after just a few clinics I was able to turn them in to much better athletes who were not only performing better but wanted to perform better.
While working at Rockland Athletics, my primary responsibility was filing important documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, and inventory files. I was responsible for managing and organizing a vast amount of paperwork, ensuring that documents were filed accurately and efficiently in alphabetical order as well as recycling documents that the company no longer needed. I developed an organization strategy for myself in order to sort each document in the most efficient way possible so I could quickly move onto the next stack of documents that needed sorting. This strategy not only reduced the time taken to file Important documents but also improved overall office productivity.
Along side being a document filer, I also helped the company stock their incoming merchandise. This part of my job included hanging up T-shirts, jackets, and sweatshirts; folding pants and shorts; sorting trophy templates and plaques; and setting up sneaker displays.
Each shift once I finished filing all the documents of the day I would help around the building in cleaning and setting up displays for merchandise. This involved dusting; wiping down counters, windowsills, and stands; refolding or rehanging clothing; vacuuming the carpets. I always did my part in helping the company any ways that I could.

During my time at Fitchburg State I received two sportsmanship awards, three First team all conference awards, and one female athlete of the year award.
Softball - I have played softball since I was 5 years old (18 years) and I fell in love with the sport, I have always given 100% each time I step onto the softball field. It was always my dream to play softball in college and I am so glad I got to fulfill that dream for five years. Softball will always be a huge part of me and I cannot wait to coach it myself one day
Ukulele - A few years ago I decided to learn how to play the ukulele, with a lot of practice I now find myself quite good at it. I know quite a few songs and how to play them and find it to be a fun activity to do in my down time.
