Currently involved in developing research projects, writing grant proposals, study design, study recruitment, and writing manuscripts for publication. Working in New York Eye & Ear Infirmary at Mount Sinai and Uptown offices.
Worked in the space medicine, bioinformatics, and genetics arm of the Christopher Mason Lab at Weill Cornell Medical College. Conducted literature reviews and assisted in the writing of 2 manuscripts currently under review for publication, and currently working on several other projects with the lab in space medicine and computational biology.
Lead author on a case report of crystalline retinopathy following intravitreal clindamycin injection. Conducted literature review and writing of the case report with Dr. Howard Fine. Shadowed Dr. Howard Fine from NJRetina in Edison, NJ.
Worked in cancer research laboratory studying non-small cell lung cancer. Ran RNAi experiments regarding the EML4-ALK fusion protein. Responsibilities included preparing agar plates, feeding C. Elegans, transferring them for the experiments, and data analysis.
Volunteered 200+ hours on the Israeli national ambulance corps as an emergency medical technician. Tasked with being first responders for people experiencing myriad physical and psychological ailments. Responsibilities included taking vital signs of patients and taking care of them until reaching the hospital. American Red Cross certified.
Worked 500+ hours as an ophthalmic technician in an ophthalmology private practice. Responsibilities included taking patient history, administering patient screening, visual field tests, OCTs, Fundus photos, and other necessary diagnostics.
