I am 19 years old and from Knoxville Tennessee, originally but now live in Johnston, Rhode Island and I attend college near where I live. I have worked in multiple restaurants and most recently have worked as a server. In high school I balanced being an All-State track and cross country athlete and captain of my teams, as well as being the Class Treasurer for the Class of 2025 at Saint Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, R.I. I was a student on the Honor Roll and now at Rhode Island College I am in the Honors program. While my major is listed as intended for nursing I do have many interests and am currently looking to pursue an online study abroad internship opportunity to study marine mammal research and conservation in Greece and I hope that this will help me decide whether I want to continue pursuing a future in Nursing or perhaps switch to an alternate route such as marine biology, which I am also passionate about.
I have worked in the restaurant industry doing different jobs such as dishwashing, cleaning, cooking, being a cashier, bussing, and running food since I was fourteen years old but it was not until I got the job at Bar Lino's that I started serving. It has been a huge blessing and while it definitely is a stressful and difficult job it is very rewarding to make customers happy and I enjoy getting to connect with the people I serve and build relationships with customers that come in regularly.
I currently attend Hope Church and have been a volunteer there for a few years now. I help out a few times a month and have taught in kids classrooms, worked in a sound-booth, and volunteered at Vacation Bible Schools that are hosted for children in the summer. This is very rewarding work because I love working with younger children and love giving back to a community that has had such an impact on my life.
I worked as a cook, dishwasher, and cashier at Famous Pizza for two years and enjoyed this job very much. I loved the relationships I built with people and the trust the owners had in me. I was given a key and was responsible for opening and closing the restaurant on different occasions and I loved the responsibilities I was given at this job, but ultimately ended up leaving because I knew I had better opportunities elsewhere.
In high school I made All-State multiple years in track and cross country and was a captain on my team. I was also the Treasurer for the Class of 2025 at my school. I also am CNA certified and have my license and finished as the Salutatorian of my class.
I am CNA certified through American Safety and Training Programs and was the Salutatorian of my class. I am also a certified server in the restaurant industry.
I am passionate about sports and physical health, cooking and food, outdoors activities such as hiking, kayaking, and swimming, and love animals and to learn more about them
