Prescription interpretation and dispensing

• Prescription analysis: Analyze and interpret prescriptions from ophthalmologists or optometrists to fill orders for optical devices.
• Dispensing eyewear: Fit, adapt, adjust and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses to patients.
• Lensometry: Neutralize the power on a patients glasses to document the prescription accurately.
• Final inspection: Conduct final quality control inspections on finished eyewear to confirm accuracy before it is dispensed to the patient.

Customer assistance and support

• Customer service : Provide the highest level of service to all patients. I strive to be the benchmark in customer service.
• Assist with frame selection: Help customers choose eyeglass frames that are suitable for their facial structure, lifestyle, and vision needs.
• Assist with lens options: Educate patients on lens options and treatments available to them and recommend the highest quality products to ensure them the best possible vision.
• Educate on care: Instruct patients on how to properly insert, remove, wear, and care for both eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Provide technical support: Troubleshoot and assist with any issues related to the patient's eyeglass or contact lens prescription.

Administrative and operational tasks

• Manage staff: Hire and fire staff, conduct office meetings weekly.
• Payroll: Document staff hours worked, time off, vacation/PTO and submit to payroll company.
• Manage orders and inventory: Process lab orders, track incoming jobs, and maintain inventory for frames and lenses.
• Handle finances: Review insurance benefits, collect payments, and process transactions accurately.
• Maintain records: Accurately document patient information, orders, and transactions.
• Ensure compliance: Adhere to all legal, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the optical area.
• Top 1% Optical average for Essilor Experts: Maintain the highest averages in sales personaly, and for the office, as an Essilor Expert in the nation
• Accounts payable: Pay all vendors for frames, labs for lenses, contact lens and pharmaceutical companies and office supplies.

Licensed Optician

• Managed 5 Locations' optical departments, hiring and firing staff, conducting staff meetings monthly
