

Hello, I'm a motivated culinary student and experienced line cook with over 6 years of experience. Over the last 3 years I have been developing skills in kitchen management roles, I have been proving my ability to hold high food quality standards and closely developing kitchen skills of the staff members. I have a strong culinary interest and am looking to further broaden my professional experience.
I oversee kitchen operations and act as the primary communicator from management to our kitchen team. I fill in for our Kitchen Manager when necessary including inventory, food ordering, menu changes, line organization, and scheduling. I am responsible for tracking food waste and keeping accountability for proper portioning per order. I'm responsible for creating prep production sheets for our employees and ensuring proper levels of prepped items are made in relation to business.
While working for Dog Haus I got to work closely with many food delivery companies and representatives for better pricings. I was also able to work with our FOH management in learning about beer/liquor delivery representatives. I oversaw catering orders and had to communicate effectively with clients about expectations and needs for the orders. In addition to overseeing the kitchen and training employees this was the job I learned the most from in terms of food ordering and managing costs.
I worked effectively with a large kitchen team to ensure fast, high standards in food quality and consistency. This job allowed me to work with prep during down time. I had many coworkers that were excited to show me many aspects of prep and operations that I would not have known otherwise. This position also broadened my knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
