I earned my bachelor's degree from LeTourneau University. I majored in biology and minored in biblical studies. Throughout all four and a half years of college, I have maintained a job along with being a full time college student. I obtained a publication in GenBank in the summer of 2020. The mycobacterium Shida's whole genome was sequenced and published under the accession number MT818418.1. I have also obtained my Master of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center to further my pursuit of becoming a medical doctor. Along with my academic responsibilities, I also volunteer within Longview, TX serving the community in various ways. I have also volunteered within Jackson, MS during my time at their medical center. Being a pre-medical student, I have also accumulated over one hundred and fifty shadowing hours from various medical facilities. I am adaptable, motivated and up for any challenge that may come between me and my goal of becoming a medical professional.
I have worked at two different businesses, and I have been self-employed as a nanny throughout the five years of earning my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have volunteered throughout the community both during undergraduate school and graduate school. My ability to work hard under the pressure of maintaining a job, keeping up in school, and volunteering within the community is further preparing me for the journey of becoming a medical professional. The position that is open to become a medical scribe would further my education of the healthcare field, and it would prepare me for what my future will look like as a medical doctor.
