Butterjoint | 08.2021 - Current
Lead Server
Butterjoint is a unique and special place offering a farm to table scratch kitchen setting. Among all my restaurant experience this position has been the most challenging and in a good way. I was required to learn the origins of our local ingredients and the technique behind every dish. In addition, I had to work under pressure in a high-volume craft cocktail bar with an extensive wine list.
My main position now is daytime server. I am not only a server but host, receive takeout orders, run food, bus, stock/take inventory, and ensure night crew is set up for success. Multitasking is something that comes natural to me and has always been my strong suit.
I have cultivated strong guest loyalty by anticipating needs and delivering highly personalized service to regular clientele.
Overall, my experience in the service industry has taught me to be highly intuitive. I closely observe guest reactions and non-verbal cues. If I sense any hesitation or dissatisfaction, I immediately take the initiative to make things right and elevate their experience.
Responsibilities include:
Managing phone calls/booking reservations/answering guest’s questions about the restaurant and surrounding areas
Prep work/stocking/inventory
Working as a team to ensure a flawless service
Developed innovative, seasonal drink recipes utilizing house-made syrups, juices and infusions
Orchestrated a personalized dining experience for private events with meticulous attention to detail. This ensures the guest will always have a positive memory of their special day.
