Work History

Bartender/Server

5 Years
Butterjoint | 08.2021 - Current
  • Lead Server
  • Butterjoint is a unique and special place offering a farm to table scratch kitchen setting. Among all my restaurant experience this position has been the most challenging and in a good way. I was required to learn the origins of our local ingredients and the technique behind every dish. In addition, I had to work under pressure in a high-volume craft cocktail bar with an extensive wine list.
  • My main position now is daytime server. I am not only a server but host, receive takeout orders, run food, bus, stock/take inventory, and ensure night crew is set up for success. Multitasking is something that comes natural to me and has always been my strong suit.
  • I have cultivated strong guest loyalty by anticipating needs and delivering highly personalized service to regular clientele.
  • Overall, my experience in the service industry has taught me to be highly intuitive. I closely observe guest reactions and non-verbal cues. If I sense any hesitation or dissatisfaction, I immediately take the initiative to make things right and elevate their experience.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Managing phone calls/booking reservations/answering guest’s questions about the restaurant and surrounding areas
  • Prep work/stocking/inventory
  • Working as a team to ensure a flawless service
  • Developed innovative, seasonal drink recipes utilizing house-made syrups, juices and infusions
  • Orchestrated a personalized dining experience for private events with meticulous attention to detail. This ensures the guest will always have a positive memory of their special day.

Bartender/Server

5 Years 7 Months
The BeerHive | 06.2015 - 01.2021
  • Head bartender
  • The Beerhive has familiarized me with all different styles of beer and how they are brewed. In addition to local breweries, I am knowledgeable about many American craft breweries through the United States and imports from around the world. Large selections can be overwhelming for some people but I am able to make them feel as comfortable as possible while directing them to the perfect beer for their pallet. I also command knowledge of an extensive inventory so encourage them to step outside their comfort zone and try something new!
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Balancing registers and completing the nightly drop.
  • Key holder
  • Managing phones for pick up orders/ informing guests about the bar and attractions in The Strip, bussing, serving, and bartending. This position has heightened my ability to multitask
  • Curating a unique cocktail menu
  • All prep work and stocking
  • Giving outstanding customer service and creating an environment not only for tourists to remember, but establishing regulars who consider the Beerhive their home base.

Bartender

2 Years 9 Months
Spirit | 04.2016 - 01.2019
  • Head bartender and closing manager
  • Spirit has advanced my skill in the art of cocktail making. In addition to recipe creation, I can make multiple cocktails at once in a high volume setting. Working at Spirit tested my ability to work under pressure in a loud venue during concerts and other live events. Patience and experience helped me to always maintain my stress and provide a fun party atmosphere for the guests no matter the situation.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Being a keyholder/responsible for cash handling/end of the night drop on multiple drawers
  • Designing and stocking satellite bars for a variety of indoor and outdoor events
  • Batching cocktails/juicing/prepping
  • Banquet and buffet experience such as weddings and charity events
  • Responsible for end of night security and conflict deescalation

Server/bartender

3 Years 3 Months
Valleybrook Country Club | 03.2012 - 06.2015
  • Valley Brook Country Club taught me how to provide an outstanding fine dining experience. Here I was able to hone my attention to detail. I took part in many wine education classes here and can properly serve wine by the glass and by the bottle at the table side. Community is everything at a country club so I was able to create a comfortable atmosphere that kept the members coming back.
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Self management of maintenance tasks such as silverware setups, detailing tables, filling condiments, etc.
  • Hosting large events
  • Serving banquet style events
  • Bussing/serving
