  • Am the manager of the whole hardware and garden center department. Would have to make sure that all the seasonal changes ran smootly. Would change from winter to spring and summer and fall . The biggest changes would come in the fall were we would be setting up halloween and christmas sections. After christmas was all done we would start all over with spring set up. Would have to detail my department to make sure we are ready for the customers coming into the store. Would have to make sure that all pricing is set right and that all displays are set up for the customers. Would be incharge of making the schedule for the 20 hardware team members. Would make sure we are following the training time line for all team members. Would pay intention to our daily sales goals and make sure are hitting them. If we fall short would have to adjust the team members on the clock so we could make payroll.

  • Was incharge of every team member inside the store. Had to make every department was detailed and stocked everday before they could go home. Would over see the inventory team member to make sure that inventory inside the store was accurate for the customers that are coming into the store. Would over see the Plan-o-gram team to make they are setting the shelfs for the incoming freight accurately. Would over see the facilities of the builing and the grounds. If there were problems with the facilities would try to fix with the team members inside the store. If the job was to big for the team members would outsource it to one of the contractors we have set up to do repairs. Would have to make sure all 11 departments stay inside there payroll giving for the day and year. Would make sure that all pricing inside the store was correctly priced for our guests. Would have to calm any customer that was upset during there visit. Was demoted when the company was cutting back on my position instead of two 2nd Assistant General Managers they only wanted one 2nd Assistant General Manager for the store.

  • I was the head of the yard shipping and receiving department. Would have to make all the directions for the whole department. Would be in charge of all the training that all the teams need during there shifts. If team members were not doing there job at hand would have to correct it by have a sit down. I had to write up an additional traing form for the team member. This would be ways for them to be better in position and if there was no improvement there would be future disciplinary actions. Every other weekend i would close the store down for the General Manager's. Would be in charge of every team member inside the store. Would have to make sure that the whole store was detailed and stocked for the next day of sales. Would have to make sure that all team members were working and not fooling around.

  • Was all the same jobs as the 2nd Assistant yard shipping receiving manager. The only different part was I would make the schedule that the team member would to working in the coming weeks.

  • Was in charge of the whole shipping receiving department under the department manager. Would be incharge of making sure all trucks were unloaded in a timely manner and that the receiving was entered right. Would be incharge of 20 team members that would work different shifts though out the day. Would split up the team members to work in different section of the department to make sure everything was done before we close. Would write each team a to-do-list for there sections to be done by there end of there shifts. Would manage the load builders to make sure there loads are pulled and they pulled the best products for the customers. Would help out the different department by pulling products with forklifts or order picker for the customers or for stocking reasons. Would have to make we stay in the guild lines of payroll that we are giving in a day and year.

  • I was in charge of pulling all the out going deliveries for the next day. They would include lumber blocks appliances to interior home remodel products. Would have to load the delivery truck using forklifts or order pickers. When was done pulling the loads I would help out the other teams member in the department. Would help unload trucks and would organize the department.
