  • Here I started off with preparing and packaging food for the grab and go fridge, eventually as I progressed I was given more responsibility including but not limited to handling all food preparation, quality checks on food in our kitchen along with the food packaged in our grab and go fridges, handling money in the register, resolving any issues that may occur with any customers, managing staff member/ keeping them on task, and keeping track of inventory.
  • Along with these tasks I would also be responsible for opening / closing the store depending on when I would be working and making sure the store was as clean and organized as possible.

  • Landry's was my first fully back of house position in the restaurant industry, here I learned what being a prep cook really means in a busy environment.

  • Along with food preparation I would often train new employees and work the pantry station when they needed an extra helping hand.

I feel that this position had given me not only an inside on what management looks like on a smaller scale, but it truly helped me in many ways from time management to communication skills. I truly believe that this position was one of the most important stepping stones for me while also helping me develop as an employee.
