  • Promoted and relocated to South Carolina to run 2nd start up for 2 large roaster contracts in the area
  • Started from the shell of a new 273,000 ft2 class A’ warehouse
  • Managed set up of first and only of its kind green coffee debulking operation in the United States
  • This operation, and later it’s sister operation in Pooler, GA, has revolutionized the way that containerized coffee is delivered from countries of origin to the USA by allowing importers to maximize product volumes in container, the way it is stored, and the way it is shipped to the roaster
  • Managed project and was engaged as the only on site manager involved system trouble shooting with the new equipment
  • Obtained a commercial pesticide operators license, and still actively hold one
  • This allowed me to gain a deep hands on understanding of the specific challenges associated with green coffee predators, and am often called by customer QA managers to consult about solutions to the problems they are facing
  • Worked with FIBC suppliers and pallet manufacturer’s to create very tailor made specs to fit a unique operation, and am now considered a subject matter expert in both areas
  • Hired and trained all employees which came exclusively from the automotive industry to what now is deemed as the national gold standard for green coffee warehousing, consistently ranking #1 nationwide
  • Proactively researched incoming damaged containerized cargo and presented reports to the customers before marine surveyors arrived
  • This helped the customer win several cargo claims (not only at PGS) that shippers were trying to push back fault onto receiving warehouses

  • Sole on-site manager responsible for start-up second Fortune 500 roasting contract in new 227,000 ft2 class A’ warehouse
  • Warehouse doors were still being cut into the building and a make shift workstation and clerks desk were made on the floor from pallets as I trained temporary workers to manually lump burlap bags of coffee, trained clerks to use the WMS to ship and receive, and the quality team the food grade checks, quality and receiving processes
  • Maintained oversite of facility operations while state of the art debulking system was being installed and trained employees to use and troubleshoot the system
  • Re-engineered the quality lab which reported directly to me during this process for the majority of 2021 and eliminated 99% of sampling errors
  • Created many new systems of checks and balances to improve inventory accuracy and reduce product damage
  • This warehouse now ranks #1 amongst all competing 3PL’s audit by the customer nationwide
