I took 6 art classes in high school. Half involved painting and drawing while the others were either photography, weaving, clay making, or wax. My senior year I took a senior art portfolio class because I had taken every other art class available. One project we did involved chalk pastels the color of our emotions and a drawn picture of ourselves. It was tricky to replicate my face but I was happy with the outcome and colors I choose. Later, toward the end of the semester we had the choice to draw something and I chose anatomy. I drew the nervous system in the body as well as in the eyes, face, and spine. There was an art show to showcase the schools artists and most of the art classes voted my anatomy sketch was their favorite. I enjoy drawing and painting because it is a way to express my feelings without having to say anything.
