Primary Responsibility: Being the Accounting and Authorized Officer of the Department
- Accountable to the County Assembly for ensuring that the resources of the department are used in a way that is:
i) Lawful and Authorized
ii) Effective, Efficient, Economic and Transparent
- General Administration, Management and Coordination of the Departmental Resources
- Providing Strategic Direction for improved service delivery
- Developing and implementing an effective performance management system
- Formulating and overseeing the implementation of policies in the department
- Establishing relevant strategies and drivers of the Departmental Work Plans
- Monitoring and Evaluating Performance of the staff in the department
- Promoting and ensuring efficient utilization of the resources in the department
- Impact assessment of policies and strategies the department has put in place in the County
- Manage and supervise human resources in the department
- Effective and efficient management of financial resources of the department
- Create and maintain linkages for collaboration and partnerships with other organs of government, ministries, departments, private sector and all stakeholders
- Promote values and principals spelt out in article 10 and 232 of the constitution of Kenya 2010 in the operations of the department
- Ensure the achievement of the County goals and objectives and inter-governmental projects and programs
