• Supervises the work of Air Quality Inspectors and/or Air Quality Enforcement Officers

• Conducted inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with asbestos regulations including entering controlled areas containing asbestos undergoing removal.
• Conducted specialized training of other inspectors and members of the regulated community; accompanies other inspectors in the field to perform competency evaluations.
• Inspected and investigates all air pollution sources and related control equipment for compliance with air quality rules and regulations.
• Performed scheduled and unscheduled investigations and inspections and responds to citizen complaints to determine if violations of rules exist.
• Coordinated and directs difficult and complex field investigations including sources operating under a Title V permit and/or using complex industrial processes that may include the use of especially hazardous chemicals.
